2023 Election: COPPP Endorses Samura Kamara

As Sierra Leone draws closer to its upcoming elections, the Consortium of Progressive Political Parties (COPPP) on Thursday 8th June 2023 officially endorsed the presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC) party Dr. Samura Kamara as their Presidential candidate for the June 24th elections.

At an event held in Freetown, the COPPP spokesperson announced the endorsement of Dr. Kamara, citing his leadership qualities, experience, and vision for the country as the reasons for their support.

“We are thrilled to announce our endorsement of Dr. Samura Kamara as our Presidential candidate for the upcoming elections, Dr. Kamara’s track record of delivering results and promoting economic growth in Sierra Leone makes him the best candidate to lead our country into a brighter future”.

Dr. Samura Kamara a renowned economist and former Minister of Finance, has played a pivotal role in the development of Sierra Leone, spearheading numerous initiatives aimed at tackling poverty and improving the welfare of citizens.

His contributions include spearheading the preparation roll-out of the ‘Agenda for Change’ and ‘Agenda for Prosperity’ under Dr Ernest Bai Koroma’s Presidency which saw the successful implementation of the free healthcare initiative for pregnant women and children under five and the construction of many vital roads. Dr Kamara championed the establishment of key institutions including the NRA, NASITT, NPPA, and Decentralisation structures.

Dr. Samura Kamara showed his appreciation and promised to work with all Sierra Leoneans for the betterment of the country.

The endorsement by the COPPP is a significant milestone for Dr. Kamara’s campaign. His vision for the country which is centered on promoting unity, progress, and development, has resonated with citizens across the country, and he has promised to continue working to realizing this vision if elected.

COPPP has demonstrated their ability to understand and appreciate the people's choice. The majority of the people of Sierra Leone want a change for the betterment of this county. Indeed, Samura Kamara has worked sincerely for the development of this county. He needs to be appreciated and compensated for his Honesty, Sincerity, Hard work, Dedication and Commitment for a work well done. The reward for good work is more work. In this case, the people of Sierra Leone have pledged to give Samura Kamara more work to do as President. He will surely have sleepless nights in trying to remove and clean the rubbish created by the Maada Bio's PAOPA government. LONG LIVE SIERRA LEONE.
