In recent days, social media has been awash with rumours suggesting that Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, harbors ambitions of becoming the next president after her husband.
Addressing these claims, Dr. Bio took to her official Facebook page to openly debunk the rumours, affirming her steadfast support for President Maada Bio and his transformative agenda for the country.
Dr. Fatima Maada Bio confronted the rumours directly, urging the public to focus on President Maada Bio’s significant achievements, particularly the “Big 5 Game Changer” initiatives, including the impactful Feed Salone program. She reiterated that her efforts are solely dedicated to supporting her husband’s vision for Sierra Leone and improving the lives of its citizens.
In her candid post, Dr. Bio made it clear that she has no intention of pursuing the presidency. She urged those spreading these unfounded claims to stop misrepresenting her intentions and to instead highlight the accomplishments of President Maada Bio.
“Please, if you want to write about such things, say it is your opinion and not write as if I sent it to you,” she asserted. Emphasizing that her agenda aligns with President Maada Bio’s until 2028, she expressed her commitment to serving the nation in her role as First Lady.

I have not read her full statement, only what is on here, but this does not seem like a full, strong statement stating that she has no intention of running of 2028. I am sure by now she has a Sierra Leone passport, a diplomatic one she is not entitled to, but she is Gambian. She is not even qualified to run, lae den nor try. They have damaged our country enough. We don’t need 15 or 20 years of the Bios
Sierra Loaded, I’m curious. Why is it that you should always use that military picture for every article that you write, even ones that are not connected to war. Such a picture in my opinion sends a negative image about our country. Please change it. You can do better, Sierra Loaded. It is an observation so please take it in good faith
Oh God, bless our president, his wife and family. Protect them from the errors of evil doers in sierra leone and from the four corners of this present evil world. Let their guardian angels fights for them, amen.
