On November 8th, 2023, Port Loko City in the Northwest Region of Sierra Leone witnessed a remarkable and jubilant homecoming as Sheik Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, also known as Jagaban a distinguished figure in the opposition All Peoples Congress party (APC), made a momentous visit.

The city was immersed in a celebratory atmosphere, with the populace rushing to converge at the iconic Bai Bureh Hall, which hosted the APC Port Loko District party office.

Familiarly known as Jagaban, Kamara’s return was nothing short of an emotional and euphoric affair. Born in Blama, Kenema District, to a father who had initially migrated from Port Loko, Kamara’s visit stirred immense excitement. After a formal courtesy call on the APC District Executive, Jagaban delivered an impassioned speech that ignited exuberant celebrations within the hall.

The event commenced with captivating traditional Temne dance performances, infusing the occasion with cultural richness.
