Hon. Sahr E. Juana, the Member of Parliament from Kailahun District, has written a letter to President Julius Maada Bio to express his reservations about the decision of the SLPP to dump him with an APC operative as his challenger.
Hon. Juana stated that he is devastated and stressed, as he won his primaries fair and square, and accused some opportunistic influential members of overturning his joy to sorrow.
He reminded President Bio that he sacrificed his all to celebrate him for the first time in Kissi Teng when the SLPP was finding an entry there in 2018, and stated that he did not join the SLPP to only become an MP. He further revealed that those who advised President Bio on this matter are not doing well for his presidency and for the SLPP that they claimed they love.
Hon. Juana said he had been silent against all insults and discrimination from his opponents, supporters, and influential party supporters out of respect for his party’s norms and values. However, he cannot be pushed any further, and any attempt to convert the popular wish of the people will be met with stiff resistance.
He, therefore, called on President Julius Maada Bio to review his decision and allow the will of the people of Constituency 002 and Kissi Bendu, which his father fought for, to prevail. He concluded by stating that his challenger is not only the people’s choice, but he is also in breach of section 76(1) B of the Constitution of Sierra Leone.
Hmmm.. politicians are never happy with mishaps, initially, when you won over other people in 2018, then you were the best. Why do you want to remain there when you have been asked to give way to your colleague in the political realm?
Again, you may be appointed to a non-elective position if you exercise patient. Going against the party leadership could also brand you as a non-conformists and liable to terminate your political career.
Hon. Sahr is very arrogant and disrespectful. In 2019 I withdraw my support from him due to his arrogance.

Your letter is very harsh as if the next two to three minutes you will defect to another party of which I consider it wrong decision. My Hon. Please wait ok. The Party have something good for you. Hon. Sahr Egbinda Juana is the people’s choice for Con. 002, Kailahun District. APC Hon. Patrick Sahr Tengbeh, the elder brother of the now SLPP provisional symbol bearer (Fallah Kenewa Tengbeh) won this same Constituency in 2012 against Hon. Musa Tamba Sam with all its Counselors, it was only with Hon. Juana in 2018 that the SLPP had its way in Constituency 002, Kissi Teng Chiefdom Kailahun District again. So why is the SLPP so ungreatful to its LOYAL soldiers??? Why Hon. Juana’s properties including his brown new car and his father’s house was on fire by the APC operatives in a guest of restoring the SLPP in the Constituency, Fallah Kenewa Tengbeh was busy sponsoring his elder brother’s campaign in 2018.
