In a recent campaign event in Pujehun district, Samura Kamara, the Presidential Candidate for the All Peoples Congress (APC) and the main opposition party, raised serious concerns over the disruptive behavior of some youths affiliated with the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
In a post shared on Twitter, Kamara revealed that his motorcade was repeatedly blocked, and his team was targeted with projectiles and stones thrown by SLPP supporters at various points along their route.
The situation made it challenging for them to leave the town safely. Despite these obstacles, Kamara emphasized his unwavering commitment to promoting peace before, during, and after the election.
Expressing his frustration, Kamara tweeted, “SLPP supporters are throwing stones at my motorcade, sending projectiles, and setting up barricades. SLPP supporters have blocked the exit route, and my motorcade is prevented from leaving the town. I urge for free, fair, and peaceful elections.” he stated
The APC Presidential Candidate also appealed to his supporters to remain calm in the face of these disruptions.
Acknowledging the difficulties they have faced in Pujehun, Kamara assured the public that he and his party were working diligently to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
As Sierra Leone prepares for the upcoming elections, political tension has been on the rise. It is crucial for all parties involved to respect democratic principles and maintain a peaceful environment, enabling voters to make their choices freely. Samura Kamara is a blatant lier he just wants people to sympathise with him which will not take him anywhere. The fact remains, APC were busy with infighting and could not concentrate on planning to win elections. They are panic of the disgraceful defeat they have seen awaiting them come the 24th of June 2023 that is why they are busy posing issues; the ECSL must resign, give us data, SLPP is this, SLPP is that, they are attacking us etc. They know that the game has insurmountable struggle which they can not stand and yet not bold inough to confess this to their poor, illiterate and brainless supporters.

This information is true and the ruling government of Sierra Leone including the police force aware of this, because they never take any actions against the unlawful youths in Pujehun District, but I strongly believe that if Mohamed Konneh ( president of the electoral commission of Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 ) do not want to conduct free, fear and credible election in Sierra Leone. But never mind Dr Samura Kamara ( presidential candidate for all People’s Congress) is a law-abiding Man that is why he always talks to his guide bodies and the rest of his followers to stay calm. Nevertheless, the SLPP supporters also chaise the APC in pujehun Neighborhood to intimidate and fought(attack) them in their homes trying to commute murder against the opposition (APC) supporter’s, and I strongly believe that all this issues happening in Pujehun District are not taken in to serious consideration by the ECSL and the Sierra Leone police force. Furthermore, please the SLPP supporters in pujehun remember their is life after elections, stop using violence against your colleagues you might be loose the election and remain as one in the city
Your comments make mockery of the wreckless behavior with disregard for humanities and the democratic principles that should be the order of the day. It’s a Shame that the SLPP are full of educated fools. Nowonder their education is from Dominion University. This is why they could not define democracy neither interpret its meaning.
