Former All People’s Congress (APC) councillor in Kono, Godwin has vowed to sue APC Members of Parliament to court if they fail to attend next Parliamentary session.
Godwin intimated his frustration with decision of the three APC MPs elected in Kono District to follow the stance of their party.
The three MPs are part of a total of 53 parliamentarians that signed a dossier vowing to boycott government and governance over election results released by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL).
The main opposition APC party disputed results from the 24 June multitier election citing that collation of data should have been done by polling stations.
Newspaper reports indicated that Councillor Godwin intend to sue the three Kono MPs for failing to perform their duties they were elected for.
The former Councillor said the disputed results should not have affected the participation of the MPs in parliament and government as a whole.
“They therefore need to go to parliament and defend us, but if they refuse to go to Parliament, I will sue them for failing to represent the Kono people and for wasting their votes,” Godwin told Satellite Press.
The former councillor claimed that he has the support of many Kono people and other locals in the country.
