APC Member of Parliament, Hon Lahai Marah has announced that he is standing down as an MP at the next general election.
Hon Marah who is representing Constituency 042 Falaba District, disclosed that his decision to step down from the All Peoples Congress symbol race is to focus on his role as the Chairman of that part of the country.
The former MP said he has done a lot of developmental activities in his constituency out of his little savings as a son of the soil which is why the APC party want him to run again for the symbol.
However, he disclosed that what he wants is to win Falaba for the APC. He said as Chairman of the APC in Falaba district, he needs to assert his role in the four constituencies within the district to ensure the APC wins not only all the seats but also the Presidential votes in that part of the country and beyond.
Hon Lahai Marah is an accountant and economist with a MSc. in Economics and MSc in Financial Accounting. He was the former Deputy Chairman of the Public Service Committee in Parliament and also Chairman of the Committee on Water Resources under the All People’s Congress Party (APC).
