The President of the state of Palestine H.E Mahmoud Abass, has congratulated H. E Julius Maada Bio on his re-election as President of the Republic of Sierra Leone in a letter dated 3rd July 2023.
The letter reads, ”on behalf of the state of Palestine, its people and on my own behalf. it is my pleasure to convey Your Excellency, my sincerest congratulations for your Excellency’s re-election as President of the Republic of Sierra Leone for a new term. We wish a continued success in performing the noble tasks entrusted to your Excellency by achieving the goals and aspirations that you and your friendly people yearn for.
We avail this occasion to assure. Your Excellency that we look forward to strengthen the friendly relations that exist between our people and to enhance our cooperation between us for the common interests of our people.
Please accept , our best wishes for your Excellency with health and happiness and the achievement of more development and prosperity to your people and country.”
President Abass has been the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization since 11 November 2004, president since 15 January 2005, and State of Palestine president since 8 May 2005. Abbas is also a member of the Fatah party and was elected chairman in 2009.
