The ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) kicked off its campaign in Pujehun District on May 27, 2023, ahead of the upcoming Multi-tier Elections scheduled for June 24, 2023.

The event was graced by the Vice President of Sierra Leone and Deputy Leader of the SLPP, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.

The launch, held at the Pujehun District Council Primary School, drew an impressive crowd of party supporters from across the district and beyond.

The Chairman of the ruling SLPP in Pujehun District, Amb. Eddie Sidikie Mansallay, pledged his team’s commitment to securing a staggering 98% of the votes for President Julius Maada Bio in the upcoming elections, expressing confidence in President Bio’s ability to secure victory in the first round.

During the campaign launch, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh conveyed warm greetings on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio to the people of Pujehun District.

He expressed deep gratitude to the supporters, well-wishers, and all electorates for their overwhelming support in electing President Bio in 2018.

Vice President Jalloh highlighted the significant achievements of President Bio’s administration, including the Free Quality School Education Project, infrastructure development, women’s empowerment, the fight against corruption, and the reduction of maternal mortality.

Dr. Jalloh emphasized that the accomplishments of the SLPP government thus far serve as evidence that they can achieve even more if given a second term.

He concluded his address by calling on all citizens to grant President Bio a resounding victory in the first round, as a testament to his selfless leadership over the past five years. Additionally, he urged party members to maintain peace and ensure a violence-free election process.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Sadiq Sillah, Chairman of the Publicity and Outreach Committee and Vice Chairman of the District Campaign, assured Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh of unwavering support from the people of Pujehun District.

He pledged the district’s commitment to re-elect President Julius Maada Bio in the first round of voting on June 24, 2023.

With the official launch of their campaign in Pujehun District, the SLPP aims to garner widespread support and secure victory for President Bio in the upcoming elections.
