SLPP Bank Account Enters Red Zone as Ministers, Parliamentarians Fail to Pay Monthly Party Dues

The party cannot boast of more than Le 10million in its current account and to make matters worse structures are not in place to ensure regular payment of dues because all of those responsible have totally abandoned the party office for political offices.

For example, the Secretary-General of the party is a deputy minister; the Chairman is at National Commission for Privitisation (NCP), the Organizing Secretary is at NaCSA; while the Treasurer is also a Board Member somewhere.

According to Independent Observer, Sierra Leone People’s Party bank account is in the low because Ministers, their deputies and Members of Parliament are not up to date with payment of their monthly party dues.
