The Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament who doubles as a ranking member in the National Assembly of Sierra Leone, Hon. Dr. Sidie Mohamed Tunis is part of ongoing talks with the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) over the post 24th June, 2023 -elections dispute in Sierra Leone.
It could be recalled that the main Opposition APC party rejected the outcome of the June, 24th , 2023 general elections citing lack of transparency by the Electoral Commission Sierra Leone (ECSL).
They have called for the reversal of the results and the sacking of the Chief Electoral Commissioner among other government officials.
Hon. Tunis who has just been overhemingly reelected in a District Block electoral system representing Pujahun District, Southern Region of Sierra Leone for the Fifth term.
Speaker Tunis is part of his Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) peace brokers who met with the former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma who is the erstwhile Chairman of the APC and a towering figure.
Giving little away to the media, Hon Tunis said the meeting was “exploratory,” noting that more meetings are underway aiming at “bringing the political temperature in the country down.”
“Everything should be done to maintain peace and national cohesion in Sierra Leone and for all political parties to play their part in the governance of the state,” Hon. Tunis said .
Hon. Tunis is a consensual personality that is respected among the political divide and has a track record of conducting successful political mediations over time.
Hon. Tunis is apparently a top contender for the Speaker of the Sixth National Assembly of Sierra Leone. He said that he is hopeful that by the grace of Allah he will get his party’s nomination for the House’ top-job.
For the past five years Tunis and his cohorts were busy dividing the country and victimizing political opponents, now he’s talking of peace and national cohesion just so they could be allowed to run a stolen mandate. Pathetically insincere the dishonest people.
APC party did not have love for the people of Sierra Leone at large. Their game planned played is embedded in greed, selfishness, hatred, and malicious acts. The first fact detail in history is that the APC party has never won elections in Sierra Leone genuinely based on transparency and fairness, but crook and biased, so a kind of person doesn’t believe in honesty no matter how bold it is written out. It is said that you can not give what you don’t have. Secondly, what are the good works or the Manifestos of the APC Party that was persuasively preached to the people of Sierra Leone that made them cast more votes for APC PARTY? 1== Is it by turning Sierra Leone into a battlefield with hate speech and rebel attitudes? 2== Or is it coniving with the outside world to betray the minerals of Mama Salone, which is meant for all Sierra Leoneans for your selfish games? Our God hates evil, and if you don’t repent on time, the wrath of God shall surely destroy you, including your entire generation. Please help to answer these questions before adding more atrocities for the people of Sierra Leone. Work out this assignment in shame before putting up a fight that will consume you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.

The useless apc by their actions and records they are not good for this country, was is not the apc that was preaching tribal hate and unleashing invectives on proverbial citizens of this country?
This individual who’s name is not mentioned in his post, should be ashamed of saying that the SLPP is not good for this country. May be he is a political bigot whose senses had been politically closed.
In my humble opinion where democracy prevail, if one party is not satisfied with the outcome of the result of an election and ask for the transparency and put the whole result out, that all they and the international community is asking the ECSL the same thing.
We have had many elections in Sierra Leone without creating divide among political parties, regions,tribes and so forth. But one big question I may like to ask is ‘Why always APCi in the mist of trying to distabilize the peace we are enjoying. Is politics the only means of survival? We are there pleading to the mediators to tell APC to learn to accept defeat.
Sierra leone is for all, we are one people and one country, so why tearing ourselves apart because of APC and SLPP? Please put yourself in the shoe of peace , love for all unity and freedom.
There is no serious issue here. All that is need is for EC SL to be more transparent. Some people are calling on NEW to publish their methodology and data but that is not truly relevant because that is not official. The EC SL data are official and are supposed to be public records subjected to public scrutiny.
Oh APC how hath the mighty fallen? They fell because of greed, selfishness, hate, jealousy,perversiveness, etc. No matter what any body can do to educate them they will ignore it because they always have a thought which is an agenda for them to fulfill by their ascenstors, anything away from that is not accepted.Secondly they think they own Sa.Leone.I pity them because they don’t know themselves, but i actually blame the so called international community who double stand the whole thing and stage manage it therefore they are the bigger problem. I think that they encourage this nonsense for their own good. Can’t you see that the people have spoken and are prepared also to defend their mandate,pls. Don’t do anything stupid,we are watching.
