Dr. Sylvia Blyden, a social and political commentator affiliated with the All Peoples Congress (APC) party, has launched a public criticism of party leader Dr. Samura Kamara, accusing him of failing to live up to his promises.
In an interview on AYV TV, Dr. Blyden recounted her conditional support for Dr. Kamara during his 2023 presidential campaign. She pledged her full backing solely on the condition that he became the party’s flagbearer, potentially leading the APC to victory.
“If Samura Kamara is made leader of the APC party, I will give him 100% support to ensure that the party wins the election,” she declared, emphasizing the sincerity of her statement.
Dr. Blyden further detailed a phone conversation with Dr. Kamara, where he expressed his delight at her potential support and promised to contact her upon his return from the provinces. However, despite her waiting “several days,” the call never came. She then messaged him directly, inquiring about his absence.
“Within 24 hours, they used Adebayor on a broadcast, saying some people were forcing themselves onto Dr. Samura Kamara’s campaign team, and he didn’t need those people,” Dr. Blyden stated, referencing public comments made by APC member Gibril “Adebayor” Koroma.
“As I sit here today, Dr. Samura Kamara has never lived up to his promise and assurance that he would call me when he came back from the provinces,” she concluded, expressing her disappointment.
How many times does he promised to you directly but didn’t fulfilled?
As a scientist, making conclusion on just one promised/finding, I don’t think it’s sufficient to draw conclusion.
