Alhaji Timothy Kabba has officially launched the Kenema Chapter of the ‘NextGen for TIM’ support group during a visit to the city, drawing participation from youth leaders, community stakeholders, and local authorities.
The initiative, established by young supporters, aims to mobilize youth engagement around leadership values they believe align with national development priorities.
The launch event attracted a cross-section of the Kenema community, including traditional chiefs, religious leaders, women’s groups, and other invited dignitaries.
Their attendance underscored local interest in the initiative and provided a platform for dialogue between community representatives and national leadership.
Addressing attendees, Alhaji Timothy Kabba spoke in his capacity as Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He outlined his ministerial responsibilities and reflected on key achievements recorded under the leadership of President Julius Maada Bio. He emphasized the importance of unity and shared responsibility in advancing national development, calling on citizens, particularly young people, to play active roles in nation-building.
The Minister also highlighted the role of youth in shaping Sierra Leone’s future, encouraging constructive participation in civic and development-oriented activities. His remarks focused on collaboration, service, and accountability as essential elements for sustainable progress.
As part of the event, Alhaji Timothy Kabba made humanitarian gestures, including the donation of bags of rice to women present at the gathering. The gesture was received as part of broader community engagement efforts associated with the visit.
