Former Vice President of Republic of Sierra Leone and former Ambassador to China, Victor Bockarie Foh has declared his support for His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

The Ambassador declared to vote for President Bio in the upcoming 2023 elections during a gathering in Constituency 082 where opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party Executive members converted to the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP).

Victor Bockarie Foh served as Vice President of Sierra Leone from 19th March 2015 to 4th April 2018 after Sam-Sumana was sacked by President Ernest Bai Koroma. In 1996 he was elected to a seat in Parliament. From 2002 to 2012, he served as Secretary General of the APC and in 2012, Foh became Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to China, a position he held until he was appointed as Vice President in March 2015.

As a loyal member of the party and one of the founding members of the 1995 All People’s Congress (APC) Constitution, Foh contested for the position of flagbearer to lead the party to 2018 presidential elections where the former President Ernest Bai Koroma selected Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara. This brought a split to the party which made the former Vice President to take side with the ruling SLPP party. Meanwhile, Amb. Victor Bockarie Foh has made it clear that he will vote for His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party.
