Sierra Leonean Acrobat, Ibrahim Kamara, performed at the Paris Olympic 2024 Closing Ceremony.

The stadium that hosted the performance had held various events during the Games, including world-record-breaking track races and a historic first for the American women’s rugby team. The closing ceremony featured a diverse lineup of artists, dancers, acrobats, and surprise performers to mark the end of the 2024 Olympics and to look forward to the Los Angeles Games in 2028.

After weeks of intense and exciting competition, international athletes bid farewell to the 2024 Paris Games.

In contrast to the grand opening ceremony, the closing ceremony took a more traditional approach. Instead of the open-air venue by the Seine River, the 80,000-seat Stade de France hosted the finale.

The Sierra Leonean Acrobat joined over a hundred performers, acrobats, dancers, and circus artists at the closing ceremony.

The event featured the customary parade of athletes, a display of the participating nations’ flags, and the lowering of the Olympic flag. Additionally, a segment of the closing ceremony was dedicated to the handover from Paris to Los Angeles, during which Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo handed the Olympic flag to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
