The Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Prof. Alpha Tejan Wurie, has done a kick-off for the commencement of the Inter-varsity/college Sports Competition.

He did the kick-off at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy prior to the football match between University of Sierra Leone (USL) and Limkokwing University on 4th March, 2022.

All 12 participating football teams had their matches played in different regions across the country and the six winners had an immediate qualification to the quarter finals. Two best losers were added to the list of qualifiers to the next stage (quarter finals).

Qualifiers from the provinces shall all travel to Freetown on 7th March, 2022 to be hosted at Milton Margai Technical University’s Goderich Campus, and then the competition continues on 8th March, 2022.

Official opening of the tournament shall as well be on 8th March, 2022 at 12:00 PM at SLFA Academy.
