The Sierra Leone Ambassador to Egypt, His Excellency Sadik Silla, in an effort to ignite a winning spirit for Leone Stars, visited the team at their training camp in Cairo on Monday, 24th March, just a day to their FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Egypt.

Ambassador Silla was joined by Mohamed Bockarie Kallon, the Information Attaché, and David Kamara, the Finance Attaché from the Sierra Leone Embassy. During his visit, he praised the team for their recent 3-1 victory over Guinea Bissau, highlighting the pride it brought to Sierra Leoneans.

Silla encouraged the players to maintain their momentum and confidence as they prepare for the upcoming match. He urged them to play fearlessly and represent their nation with determination.

Key officials were present during the meeting, including Ibrahim Nyelenkeh, Chairman of the National Sports Authority, and Hon. Hindolo Moiwo Ngevao, Chairman of the Parliamentary Oversight Committee for Sports. Nyelenkeh thanked the Ambassador for his support and assured him that the team is ready for the challenge ahead.

Leone Stars’ Assistant Coach, Musa Kallon emphasized the motivational impact of the Ambassador’s visit, stating that the players feel confident and prepared for the match. Head Coach Mohamed Kallon echoed his sentiment, expressing their commitment to achieving a positive result against Egypt.

Team captain Kei Kamara thanked the Ambassador for his visit, noting that it has boosted their morale and reinforced their resolve to give their best in the match.

With encouragement from their government and supporters, the Leone Stars have expressed determination to face Egypt with focus and determination in their quest for World Cup qualification.
