Sierra Leone’s Brand Global Football Ambassador, Antonio Rüdiger, has set his sights beyond the pitch. In a recent interview with Real Madrid C.F., the defender revealed his dream of “creating a lot of jobs” in his mother’s homeland.

Rüdiger’s comments came during a question and answer session where he discussed his aspirations. His commitment to Sierra Leone goes beyond words, as he proudly displayed the national flag during his official unveiling at Real Madrid.

This dedication was further solidified in January 2022 when President Julius Maada Bio officially named Rüdiger as the country’s Brand Global Football Ambassador. The ceremony, held at State House in Freetown, saw Rüdiger receive a diplomatic passport and the backing of his family, well-wishers, and government officials.

The passionate defender isn’t just using his platform to raise awareness; he’s actively making a difference. Rüdiger established a foundation dedicated to helping underprivileged Sierra Leoneans. He’s also shown his philanthropic spirit through previous donations, including over $100,000 to support free quality education and his entire 2022 World Cup bonus, which funded life-changing surgeries for children in the country.
