The Leone Rock Premier League Matchweek 14 concluded this week (February 4–9, 2026) with a series of tight defensive battles, pivotal away victories, and a reshuffling of the mid-table standings.

While league leaders Bai Bureh Warriors FC managed to preserve their unbeaten record, a goalless draw against relegation-threatened Luawa FC kept the title race wide open. Meanwhile, giants East End Lions FC suffered a shock home defeat, leaving them perilously close to the drop zone.

Here is a full recap of the action from Matchweek 14.

Bai Bureh Warriors FC remain at the summit of the league table with 26 points, but they missed a golden opportunity to extend their lead. Facing 18th-placed Luawa FC, the Warriors were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw. Despite the dropped points, Warriors midfielder Benoit Loua (#10) earned Man of the Match honors for his efforts to break the deadlock.

Second-placed Star Sport Academy (25 points) also faltered, playing out a 0-0 draw against Wilberforce Strikers FC. These stalemates allowed defending champions Bo Rangers FC to close the gap. The Rangers secured a gritty 1-0 victory over SLIFA FC, courtesy of a goal from Mohamed Kabba (#10), bringing them to 23 points—just three behind the leaders.

The most convincing performance of the week came from Bhantal FC, who dismantled Diamond Stars FC 3-0. Goals from Ibrahim Sumarah Bangura (#15), Abdul K Turay (#9), and Mohamed A Kamara (#27) powered Bhantal to 7th in the standings. Abdulai Barrie was named Man of the Match for orchestrating the dominant display.

Mighty Blackpool FC also impressed on the road, defeating Bullom Stars FC 0-2. Idrissa Swaray and Daniel Conteh found the net, while Moses Derrick Kollie put in a Man of the Match performance to secure all three points for the “Tis Tas” boys.

One of the season’s biggest surprises continues to be the struggle of East End Lions FC. The historic club fell 0-1 at home to Abacha City FC, with James Kargbo (#9) scoring the decisive goal for the visitors.

The loss leaves East End Lions languishing in 15th place with just 13 points from 14 games, sitting just above the relegation zone on goal difference.

Old Edwardians 1-2 Ports Authority: In a heated Freetown derby, Ports Authority snatched a vital win. Stanley Bomrose (#28) was the hero, scoring and earning Man of the Match, supported by a goal from Joseph Cleveland. James Jusu Kanja scored the consolation for Old Edwardians.

FC Kallon 0-0 Wusum Stars FC: A tight contest ended scoreless, with Wusum’s Abu Bakarr Kamara taking home the Man of the Match award.

Freetown City FC 1-1 Kamboi Eagles: The points were shared after goals from Mohamed H. Soffie (FCFC) and Mohamed Alie Kargbo (Kamboi Eagles).
