Sierra Leone’s two representatives in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup have been eliminated from the competitions.
Bo Rangers FC, the country’s sole representative in the CAF Champions League, suffered a 2-1 aggregate loss to San Pedro FC in the preliminary rounds. In the CAF Confederation Cup, East End Lions were defeated 4-0 on aggregate by ASC Jaraaf of Senegal.
The early exits of both teams have sparked concerns about the state of Sierra Leonean football.
Bo Rangers coach John Keister called for a complete overhaul of the country’s football structures, citing the disappointing performances of the teams.
He said: “We need overhaul of our football structures in Sierra Leone. You can clearly see that our teams are not giving us the desired results”
How can they give you desire results?. You are using favourism on players and even for the teams.
Football supporters and Citizens of this country don’t really know what to do ..There commitment to the game is less . The responsible authorities are some how responsible.
