The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has granted another approval to Bo Rangers to host Algerian Club CR Belouizdad at Southern Arena.
The Southern Arena received its first approval from CAF to host champions league match when Bo Rangers hosted Liberian club, LISCR FC.
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Director of Competitions, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay broke the news on Wednesday evening.
“The Confederation of African Football, CAF, today granted another approval to Southern Arena in Bo city to host MN49 of the 2023-24 CAF champions league first leg, second rounds preliminary match opposing Bo Rangers FC of Sierra Leone vs CR Belouizdad of Algeria scheduled for 17th September, 2023,” Sesay noted.
The Sierra Leonean champion will play the return leg at the August 20 1955 stadium in Algiers.
The Chababists defeated Rangers in their last encounter by 3 goals to nil last year. A brace from K. Aribi and C. Kedad were enough to see Algerian club through.
