The Western Area Rural District Football Association (WARDFA) recently elected chairman, Kebbie Sesay, conveyed his willingness to sponsor the first-ever inter-community football league organized by the Association and his substantial donation of 100 million Old Leone demonstrates his commitment to the district’s football development.
Sesay brought in this statement during the official launch of the 100 million Old Leone Inter-Community competition at the Jabex Complex in Waterloo.
He underlined that the competition, involving 32 teams representing communities in Waterloo, promotes non-violence and offers communities the opportunity to sign any player of their choice.
The Chairman feels that this competition will provide significant momentum for teams in Waterloo as they prepare for the upcoming WARDFA Division 2 League.
the Competition Director, Sillah Polo Bangura, divulged that the league is planned to kick off in October.
He remarked that enrollment is ongoing and employs on a first-come, first-served basis. Bangura guaranteed that all necessary agreements and modalities were in place to ensure the league’s smooth operation. He accentuated the expertise of the organizing team in enforcing their duties honestly.
