The vision of Star Sport Academy has borne fruit with the landmark transfer of 19-year-old defender Citta Bah to FC Midtjylland, one of the leading clubs in Denmark.

Bah’s move follows a successful trial period with the Danish side, where he impressed the technical staff with his composure, strength, and tactical awareness.

His transfer marks not only a personal triumph but also a historic milestone for Star Sport Academy, which in just three years has established itself as a rising force in developing international-level talent.

Speaking on the transfer, the Chairman of Star Sport Academy, Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally, popularly known as Lux Cee Note, described the move as a proud moment for both the player and Sierra Leone:

“This transfer is a proud moment for Citta Bah and for Sierra Leone. It is also proof that our academy’s vision is working. In only three years, we have shown that disciplined structures and proper investment can produce players ready for the European stage. Citta’s journey inspires the rest of our boys to believe that their dreams are achievable.”

He further explained that Star Sport Academy was purposely established to help young players pursue their football dreams while gaining international exposure. “We see football as both a sport and a business. We are building a professional system that creates wealth, opportunity, and a future for our boys,” Tarawally added.

As part of the transfer agreement between Star Sport Academy and FC Midtjylland, the deal will also bring significant financial resources to the academy. This funding is expected to strengthen its operations, expand facilities, and provide even greater opportunities for young Sierra Leonean players to showcase their talent internationally.

Citta Bah will continue in his role as a defender at FC Midtjylland, a club renowned for competing at the highest level of Danish football and regularly featuring in European competitions. His signing represents a major breakthrough for Star Sport Academy and Sierra Leonean football.
