CR Belouizdad are gearing up to Face Bo Rangers in the Second Preliminary Round Second Leg in the CAF Champions League on 30th September, this year.
The second round first leg saw the Sierra Leone Premier League Champions defeated by three goals to one at the Southern Arena.
The Algerian club arrived in their home country after the victory with technical staff giving a resting day. The team resumed training the following day ahead of the return leg.
Below is the reaction of the CRB Coach, Swan Vendenbroek ahead of the Crucial Return Leg encounter “At first, they gave us some problems because we did not expect four in the attack, at first their movements created difficulties for us, so they scored an early goal for us, then we gradually returned in the game and ruled us in the lead of the game
I’m happy with this good performance, my team was good both physically and tactical.
We have the first two goals to try to control the match away from home because last season this was considered a problem for the team. I thought that after 15 minutes this goal was achieved, but the second goal is to come back with a good result, our ambition was to return with a draw, but we came back with a result more than we expected and it is to win with two goals difference. And this result is kind of comfortable, waiting for the rematch.
I wasn’t here last year, I came two months ago, I didn’t watch last season’s game Bluedad guys against the Bo Rangers, but I think that when they draw last season and win this season with the same team, it confirms in my opinion that my team is better than last year.
The offseason was the Burners had many chances but in today’s game we were able to control the game which gives us confidence for the upcoming games,” the coach said.
