The Personal Assistant (PA) to the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, David Turner has revealed to Sierraloaded that drivers of Babadi Kamara attacked him during the SLFA Ordinary Congress at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Aberdeen in Freetown.

“I was attacked by both drivers (Baba and Ahmed) of Mr Babadi Kamara,” Turner revealed in an exclusive interview.

He added that both Baba and Ahmed walked with thugs, at the Congress, who peppered-sprayed him.

Turner also revealed that he was deliberately targeted by members of Babadi’s camp due to his support for the incumbent, Thomas Daddy Brima.

Violence erupted earlier on Saturday during the SLFA Ordinary Congress. Sources close to us indicated that the violence is a result of several disagreements between the two camps over the delegates list.

The list identified the individuals qualified to vote for the President of the SLFA.

Voting is currently taking place at the Congress, where relative calm has been restored. However, the SLFA President is absent, reportedly having left the venue due to security concerns.

Kamara, the Chairman of Bo Rangers Football Club, and Brima, the current CEO of Wilberforce Strikers, are competing for the presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA). Both candidates are optimistic about their chances as the election results are expected to be announced late on Saturday.
