The Executive Director of the National Sport Authority (NSA), Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, has denied reports circulating on social media that Leone Stars head coach Mohamed Kallon has demanded a $20,000 monthly salary and threatened to quit if the demand is not met.
The Tribune Times recently suggested Coach Kallon had issued an ultimatum over his pay. Abdulai, who also owns Luawa FC, clarified to the New Citizen Newspaper that contract negotiations are still ongoing. He explained they are finalising the details of the agreement and confirmed that, while figures have been mentioned during talks, Kallon has not made any threats to walk away.

The contract is still being finalized, and no official agreement has been reached.

Kallon, a former Inter Milan player, was appointed Leone Stars Head Coach in February this year, where he started his tenure with a 3‑1 win against Guinea Bissau but later suffered a loss to Egypt.
Contract talks between Coach Kallon and the National Sport Authority are still ongoing.
