Popular entrepreneur, Hassan Lamin [SusBeats], has revealed the factors that led to the fall of the Kamboi Eagles Football Club.

Lamin based his opinion on what he noticed from the indigenes of Kenema.

Below are his observations on what led to the downfall of Kamboi Eagles:

“I have noticed that a lot of Kenematonians are expressing their bitterness about the relegation of the great Kamboi Eagles. Interestingly, they all failed to mention the real problem. Only brisk Fomba pointed out the true issues that disturbed and destroyed Kamboi Eagles.

There was one selfish man who held the team hostage for many years and pushed away anyone with pure intentions to help the team thrive. He only left when he had successfully destroyed and sunk the club. It’s a big shame on all those who supported him!

Now that the team has been relegated, it is crucial for all of us to come together and take the necessary steps to revive and strengthen it. First, we must remove all these selfish individuals around the team who are only interested in personal gains from the club. Instead, we should bring in new, fresh minds who genuinely care about the team’s success. Football requires financial support, so we should welcome individuals who can contribute positively.

Let the young people from Kenema step up and rebrand our beloved Kamboi Eagles. Together, we can make a difference and bring the team back to its former glory.”

Kamboi Eagles were relegated from the Sierra Leone Premier League during the 2022/2023 season. Despite victories in their last match against East End Lions, the Eagles could not turn their fate around on the final day of matches. Kamboi Eagles faced relegation for the first time in the club’s history.
