East End Tigers, in the early hours of Friday 9th December 2022 joined their Technical Director, Victoria Conteh in celebrating her birthday.

Tigers’ CEO, Victor Lewis planned the surprise birthday celebration for Mama Vic at her residence.

Coach Victoria was extremely happy. “I am overwhelmed. I don’t know what to say. This shows that I belong to a family. I want to assure you all that I will be back.

“Next week, I will be on an artificial limb, and you will see me back on the training field”, she lamented with a big smile.

She continued: “This meant so much to me. Thank you CEO Victor Lewis and the rest of the Executive. Tigers will always be my home.

Goalkeeper coach, Allison shed tears while Mama Vic was talking. The Technical Director was quick to console him.

She said: “In life, things happen and you don’t have to question God. I am ok. It’s not the end of my life. Coach, I am coming back”, she stressed.

It could be recalled that coach Victoria Conteh lost her left leg through amputation after an infection was diagnosed on the left toe.

She prayed for the Tigers to win the first league match of the 2022/2023 season against Central Parade (Wilberforce FC). “I am sure you guys will win. I will be with you in spirit”, she concluded.
