Former Dutch U20 defender Agustine Loof has been named in Coach Amidu Karim’s first 25-man squad for friendlies against Benin and Somalia in Casablanca, Morocco.

The 27-year-old defender who is currently Playing for the Netherlands Fourth Tier Club HSV Hoek once represented the Netherlands U-17 but he was unable to make a breakthrough to the Deutsch senior national male team.

Loof grew up in Koewacht and has been playing for Hoek since August. Joel competes in the fourth tier of Dutch Football.

To ensure best preparation and undoubted readiness going into the 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa Qualifiers, the Sierra Leone Football Association with support from the government of Sierra Leone has successfully concluded arrangements for two friendly matches in Casablanca Morocco against Benin and Somalia on the 14th and 17th of October 2023 respectively.

The said friendlies will help the newly appointed technical team (Amidu Karim and team) to better understand and bring into play a formidable squad against Ethiopia and Egypt in the World Cup qualifiers in November this year.
