The Sierra Leone Premier League champions, Bo Rangers are set to play their arch-rival, East End Lions on Saturday evening at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy in Freetown.
The match is the long-awaited FA cup final which ended in violence earlier this year in Port Loko. Fans of both teams have been looking forward to this mouth-watering clash when the Sierra Leone FA announced on Friday that the match will take place on Saturday evening, October 19 at the Academy.
“The SLFA is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated FA Cup final replay between Bo Rangers and East End Lions will take place tomorrow, October 19, at 4:00 PM,” the FA announced on Friday.
Meanwhile, some fans who spoke to Sierraloaded are concerned about security after the last encounter between the two ended in chaos at Port Loko.
“It will be a good match obviously but my concern is security,” Musa Kamara, an East End Lions fan said.
But the FA has promised to provide adequate security in and around the venue while encouraging fans to be peaceful.
Local football pundits have agreed that the match will be a tight one citing the Killers defence to be on high alert against the Elephant’s clinical strikers like Suffian Kalokoh and Abu Komeh.
Whatever the case may be, the reality is that both teams have point to prove and couldn’t be a better time than today at the Academy.
