The head coach of Sierra Leone’s U-20 Female team, Fatmata Turay, has announced a 27-player roster to commence training ahead of the forthcoming Mano River Union (MRU) Female Tournament.
The tournament, a prestigious regional competition, will see Sierra Leone competing against Liberia and Guinea from December 2 to December 8, 2024, in Makeni City.
The selected players are expected to report to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy on Friday, November 22, 2024, by 3:00 PM, where intensive training sessions will begin under the guidance of Coach Turay and her technical team.
The MRU Female Tournament serves as a platform to promote regional cooperation through sports while showcasing the immense potential of women’s football in West Africa.
With the competition fast approaching, the coaching staff has expressed confidence in the quality and readiness of the invited players to rise to the challenge and bring glory to Sierra Leone.
