The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced that six of its newly appointed 2025 FIFA badge referees have successfully completed the rigorous CAF New FIFA Referees Course in Cairo, Egypt.
The intensive five-day course, held from February 23rd to 27th, focused on crucial aspects of refereeing, including physical fitness, medical assessments, and in-depth technical training, all designed to prepare referees for the demands of international assignments.
The SLFA is particularly proud to report that all six referees not only completed but excelled in both the fitness and medical evaluations, securing their eligibility to officiate at the highest levels of global football. Notably, Sierra Leone stood out among the 30 participating African nations, sending the highest number of successful referees to the course this year.
The newly certified FIFA referees are:
Sulaiman Santio Kamara – Center Referee
Mohamed Buzin Koroma – Center Referee
Agnes Gbla – Assistant Referee
Sahr Abdulai Freeman – Assistant Referee
Alusine Conteh – Assistant Referee
Mahmoud Alie Conteh – Assistant Referee
SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima and the Executive Committee have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the referees, acknowledging their remarkable achievement as a testament to Sierra Leone’s growing influence and commitment to excellence in football officiating.
