Sierra Leonean Midfielder John Kamara, who plays for The Greek Second Division side Lamia Fc, will face the disciplinary committee of the Greek Football League after his Asist Lead to His Team’s Victory.
In his celebration he lifted his jersey and on his t-shirt were the words ‘We are West African Not a Virus’ with the national flags of Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia on his t-shirt. The Greek FA referred to the comment as racist and will face a disciplinary committee.
His comment came after he was quarantined for 21 days by his club Lamia Fc due to fears over Ebola, when he returned from international duty playing for Sierra Leone against Cameroon in an AFCON qualifier.
