Former Inter Milan, A.S Monaco, and Leone Stars forward and also the Chief Executive Officer of the Kalleone Group Company (KGC) which comprised a football club, radio station and other outlets Mohamed Kallon has called on corporate institutions in Sierra Leone to support the late Lamin Junior Tumbu Conteh foundation as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Kallon came from the bench and scored a brace to help the retired national football heroes secure a 3-1 comeback win against Thompson Bay Veterans in one of the matches that were played at the Parade ground organised by Ibrahim Junior Parade Koroma to introduce the late Lamin Junior Tumbu Conteh foundation established to keep the memories of the deceased talented footballer after he passed away in May this year.
The 2005 Asia Champions League winner and top scorer Mohamed Kallon, speaking to NewsFeed Sierra Leone, described the late football legend Junior Tumbu as very generous “I was a bit younger than him, but we shared great moments both on and off the pitch including chilling moments, he was so generous and was the light amongst us, whenever there is a dark moment then the late Junior Tumbu will always light it up, and it’s no surprise many of us were here today to grace this moment and remember him this shows how influential the time he was alive” he disclosed.
He went further to commend Ibrahim Junior Parade Koroma for the initiative and ended by calling on the corporate institution to support the foundation that will be focusing on helping children in the streets and the less privileged “I want to call on corporate institutions and individuals with financial might to support this foundation and keep the memories of our late legend alive, this foundation is a good initiative especially when it will be providing support to the less privileged” Kallon concluded.
