Lamboi Football Club Captain, Basiru Olu Koroma has expressed strong determination to win their first match against East End End Lions FC in Sierra Leone Premier League Opener.

The newly promoted Lamboi FC will take on East End Lions at the Lungi Central field on Saturday 10th December 2022.

Speaking to the Sierraloaded Sports desk, Koroma Stated “I respect our opponent, and I acknowledged the fact that we are facing one of the oldest and most experienced teams in Sierra Leone’s premier league. However, we have been together as a team for a long time. With determination and hard work, I’m optimistic that we will defeat East End Lions. We have a young but experienced coach. With the support of the Lungi community, I will vow that we will surprise them.”

Lamboi Football Club lifted the 2022 national playoff championship unbeaten. The team registered whopping ten points in the group stage to lead the Kenema zone and defeated Real Republicans 1-0 in the semi-finals to emerge as the first team in Lungi to gain promotion to the country’s top-tier league.They registered eight goals in the competition and conceded only two.
