Leone Stars midfielders Alhassan and Alusine are heading to Dubai to represent Sierra Leone in a double header international friendly matches against Rwanda on the 16th and Algeria on the 18th November 2022.
confirming the rumours from players social media accounts about the said friendly matches, the Sierra Leone Football Association has been accused of shrouding the delegation list in secrecy.
Though the rationale behind shrouding the friendly matches in secrecy is not known, the SLFA must take into consideration that the team is being sponsored by taxpayers’ money and the public deserves the right to know about the whereabouts of the team.
Many aggrieved football-loving fans in the country have intimated Sierraloaded sports desk that the SLFA should have released an earlier Press Release updating the public about these friendly matches rather than players updating the public about the said upcoming matches.
Leone Stars forward Rodney Micheal has also posted on his Facebook page about his travelling to Dubai ahead of their undisclosed friendly matches.
Many football fanatics have also urged the President, Thomas Daddy Brima to do the needful and the government of Sierra Leone to invest more in female football as they seem to be producing more results than the male side.
