Leone Stars  new Captain Steven Roy Caulker has expresses thanks and appreciation to the Sierra Leone Football Association for his appointment as a Captain.

Caulker praised the Sierra Leone football association for their proper organization for the three friendly matches.

He said that he feels very happy and he considers putting on the captain band as a huge honor. He further added that previous captains like Kei Kamara, Umaru Bangura and Mohamed Medo Kamara has set standards for him.

The prolific defender expresses determination that he wants to start with a win tomorrow against the Sparrows of Togo in Turkey.

The Sierra Football Association has confirmed that Steven Caulker is now Captain of the Nation’s team, Leone Stars Permanently. Meanwhile, they have announced that Umaru Bangura is no longer captain of the team and further thank him for his service.
