Steven Roy Caulker is a 30 year old Center Back who was born in Feltham, London. He was a talented Athlete in Youth winning Borough 400m for four years in a row.
Despite his excellent athletic ability, Caulker chose to purse a career in football, playing with local Side Hounslow Borough as a teenager. After switching from Central midfield to Center-Back, he was offered trials with different clubs.
Caulker rejected the advances of Queen Park Rangers, Reading and Chelsea to sign for Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 aged 15.
The 2012/2013 campaign saw Caulker made his breakthrough for Tottenham, playing 18 times in the Premier League and Scoring twice in the UEFA European League
Caulker currently plays as a center back for Turkish Super League Gazientep on loan from Fernerbache.
The Center -Back was recently given clearance by FIFA’s player status committee to represent Sierra Leone. The decision came as a result of the players consent on nationality switch.
Caulker was part of Leone Stars recent friendly match with Morocco. His exceptional defensive qualities against the Moroccans gives many Sierra Leoneans hope that the Center Back will cause major upset for Strikers in the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
