Freetown City Football Club (FCFC) secured a crucial 2-1 victory against Bo Rangers in an exhilarating match held yesterday.
The tightly contested game ended after 90 minutes with FCFC emerging victorious, marking a strong start to the new season for the club.
The Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, took to her official social media platform to congratulate the team. “FCFC has started the season on a high! Thrilled that we won yesterday’s match against Bo Rangers 2-1. Congratulations FCFC – keep making Freetown City Council and all Fredonians proud!” the mayor wrote.
Although unable to attend the match in person, Mayor Aki-Sawyerr revealed that she received a heartfelt video call from the team as they celebrated their victory on the pitch.
