The Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority (NSA) on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, defeated Audit Service Sierra Leone by 4–1 in Group A of the ongoing Inter-MDA Football Gala at the National Stadium Practice Field.
Sierra Leone’s football legend and national coach, Mohamed Kallon, who also serves as a staff member of the NSA, came off the bench to score a hat-trick.
The victory takes the Sports Ministry to three points after two matches played.
In the late Group B match, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) defeated the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 2–0 in an entertaining encounter.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance will face State House on Sunday, 26th October 2025. The upcoming fixture is expected to be a mouthwatering clash, as both teams are currently tied on three points each.
The Inter-MDA Football Gala brings together teams from various government institutions in a friendly football competition that takes colleagues out of their office roles and fosters teamwork and cooperation on the pitch.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Mr. Samuel E. Momoh, Principal Deputy Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, and Dr. Abu Bakarr S. Massaquoi, Executive Chairman of the Environmental Protection Agency, along with other senior management staff from both institutions.
