Mogbwemo Queens have shared the spoils with AS Mande from Mali in the CAF women’s Champions League qualifiers in their second fixture.

Mogbwemo needed a win at all costs to boost their chances of qualifying but their second match in the competition against AS Mande ended in a goalless draw.

However, Mogbwemo Queens lost their opener against AS Dakar on Monday, August 7, 2023.

The Rutile-based club will take on Determine Girls of Liberia in their final match on Saturday at the SKD Sports Complex and they will need to build on their performance to advance in the tournament and guarantee their place in the next stage.

Mogbwemo’s goalkeeper, Traore, was impressive skills in goal, with her acrobatic moves, swift plays, and dexterity. Her efforts to pull off crucial stops were essential in the Queens picking up their first point in the qualifiers.

She was awarded the Man of the Match Award against the Malians.
