On Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, former Minister of Sports and current Board Chair of National Sports Authority (NSA), Ibrahim Nylenkeh, made a special visit to the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James Teima, at her office at Bishop House, Brookfields, Freetown.

This marks the first visit by the former Minister since he handed over the mantle of leadership to Madam Minister in September 2023.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss sensitive matters related to the development of sports in the country.

During the meeting, Ibrahim Nylenkeh reassured Madam Minister of his continued support and commitment to visiting her regularly while she is in office.

He thanked the Minister for her dedication to develop sports and mentioned the continued collaboration between the Ministry of Sports and NSA.

In response, Madam Minister expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the timely and significant visit.

She emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong relationship, stating, “This visit means a lot to me in terms of fostering good relations. My doors are always open for positive discussions that will lead to the development of sports in the country.”
