Sierra Leone Light welter weight Boxer John Brown has been defeated by Alston Ryan of Antigua in the men’s 63.5kg .

Barbuda’s Alston Ryan advanced to the quarterfinal leg of the boxing competition at the ongoing Commonwealth Games being held in Birmingham, England.

The boxer defeated John Brown of Sierra Leone today via unanimous decision after all five judges scored in his favour.

The UK-based fighter had gotten off to a winning start on Friday when he won via a 5-0 unanimous decision over Alex Michael Isendi of United Republic of Tanzania in the light welterweight division.
