Former Old Edwardian and Leone Stars Midfielder, Abu Bakarr Mansaray on 17th July 2023 died in Ivory Coast after a short illness.
Mansaray who was fondly called Robinho D Match, represented Sierra Leone in U-20 Category but later moved to Guinea to seek better opportunities and later to Ivory Coast where he gave up the ghost.
Mansaray’s former teammate at Hafia FC in Guinea, Prince Barrie confirmed the news with a Facebook post.
“Can’t believe you’re gone Rest in heaven Robinho Bro. My Former Team mate. We played together in Guinea,” Barrie posted.
Mansaray reportedly played for Old Edwardians and Ports Authority before making his debut with the Sierra Leone National Football team, Leone Stars.
