The Sierra Leone Premier Board as part of stabilising and structuring the football system in the country has on the 13th January, 2023 sent a strong reviewing message to all clubs whose hosting venues do not have perimeter fence.
According to the notice signed by, the PLB Secretary, Sampha Hassan Kamara, all clubs who’s venues are without fences should work on it in order to protect the players as well as match officials.
The notice reads as follow:
“The Sierra Leone premier board wants to inform all Clubs whose hosting venues do not have perimeter fence should do so in their earliest convenience so that the safety of match officials and the player would not continue to be jeopardized.
“However, while the board is encouraging you to improve on these facilities, we want to remind you that it is our responsibility to ensure the safety of players and match officials at all times.
So therefore, if such measures are not put in place, the Board would have no option but to relocate matches deemed necessary.”
