Chairman of the Pujehun District Council, Foday Kandeh Rogers has in a remarkable gesture of support for local sports, donated two volleyballs and two nets to the Pujehun District Volleyball team on Tuesday 31st October 2023.
The generous donation comes just in time to bolster the team’s preparations for their upcoming Volleyball friendly against the Bo District Veteran team.
Chairman Rogers handed over the donations to the Coach, Abdul Musa on behalf of the District Volleyball team during a brief ceremony.
The event was attended by local sports enthusiasts and players from the Pujehun District Volleyball team.
Expressing his gratitude for the donation, Team Captain Francis Daddy Bangura said, “We are incredibly thankful to Chairman Rogers for his support. This donation will enhance our training sessions and enable us to compete at our best level against the Bo District Veteran team. It’s inspiring to see our community leaders recognizing the importance of sports in our district.”
The volleyballs and nets provided by Chairman Rogers are expected to significantly boost the team’s morale and motivation as they gear up for the friendly match against the seasoned Bo District Veteran team. The match, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, promises to be an exciting showdown between experienced players and the enthusiastic talent of Pujehun District.
