The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), through its Referees Committee, has upheld the decisions taken by match officials during the Leone Rock Premier League fixture between East End Lions and Old Edwardians FC.
In a public notice issued following a comprehensive review, the Committee confirmed that it had thoroughly examined match incidents arising from the encounter played on 15 December 2025 at the Approved School Mini Stadium.
According to the SLFA, the review focused on key incidents that occurred in the 45th and 87th minutes of the match. After carefully analyzing available video footage, the Referees Committee concluded that the referee correctly applied Law 12 (Fouls and Misconduct) of the Laws of the Game in both instances.
The Committee stated that the decisions taken on the field were accurate and fully consistent with the Laws of the Game, adding that no further action will be taken against the match officials involved.
The SLFA Referees Committee reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, consistency, and the continuous improvement of refereeing standards across all competitions. It also expressed appreciation to football stakeholders and the general public for their cooperation and continued confidence in the Association’s review and decision-making processes.
