Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Rashid Sesay and his staff on Wednesday 16th November 2022 visited Leone Stars’ training camp in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

Presenting the Ambassador and his staff to the team, Sports Minister Hon. Ibrahim Nyelenkeh said that H.E Sesay and his team were in Fujairah to officially welcome the delegation to the UAE on behalf of President Bio and the Sierra Leone Community in the Arabian jurisdiction.

During this evening’s training session at the Fujairah Stadium, the Ambassador officially welcomed the team, stating that he was a happy man receiving his colleague Ambassadors (The Leone Stars) to the UAE.

“Myself and my staff are here not only to welcome you, but to also recognise your unflinching efforts for your priceless and invaluable contributions to the country’s football”

Ambassador Sesay concluded by commending the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone His Excellency Dr. Brigadier Retired Julius Maada Bio and his Government for the political, financial and moral commitment and sports towards sports and football in particular in the country.

Eastern Region Football Association Chairman Prince Sahr Quee, who doubles as Executive Committee Member of the SLFA on behalf of the country’s Football Association presented two sets of Leone Stars’ replica jerseys to the Ambassador as a way of demonstrating gratitude.

In appreciation on the Ambassador’s visit, the team Skipper, Steven R. Caulker said that they will stop at nothing in ensuring that they continue to make Sierra Leone and Sierra Leoneans home and abroad proud. “We truly appreciate your timely visit sir”, he concluded.
