The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has indicated that they have sent an official invite to PSV Eindhoven prodigy, Isaac Babadi.

“Excitement is building around the expected arrival of PSV Eindhoven’s rising star, Isaac Babadi,” the Sierra Leone FA said.

Born to Sierra Leonean parents in the Netherlands, Babadi has already represented the Dutch junior teams but he is expected to trade allegiances this April when the Sierra Leone U-20 team participate in the AFCON U-20 competition in Ivory in April this year.

The youngster possesses terrific dribbling skills and could play as both a wide player and an attacking midfield position. His presence in the young Sierra Leonean team is expected to add to their creativity as they look to put on their best performance in the competition.

The team’s head coach, Mohamed Lamin has indicated their desire to make it to the finals as a first step in securing a spot for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The West African nation last participated in the Junior World Cup about two decades ago. But with a star-studded squad, the team is in high hopes of making it to the AFCON final this year after a brilliant WAFU performance last year.
