The Sierra Leone male national team, Leone Stars are lined up in against five African teams in the upcoming FIFA World Qualifiers.

Leone Stars are in Group A where they will face Ethiopia, Egypt, Djibouti, Burkina Faso, and Guinea-Bissau in this battle. This encounter will feature 10 matches on Home and Away bases.

The first half of the meetings will start between the 13-21 November where Leone Stars will play 2 matches with Ethiopia and Egypt.  These are the only matches Leone Stars will play in 2023.

All the other matches to close the first meetings and the second meetings will happen in 2024 and 2025.

From 3rd to 11 June 2024, Leone Stars will meet with Djibouti and Burkina Faso and these are the only matches that will be played in 2024.

The last match to close the first encounter will be played in early 2025 which is between the 17-25 March with Guinea Bissau and between these same dates will feature the start of the second meeting when Leone Stars will face Egypt.

The other matches will be played in September and October. Two matches – Guinea Bissau and Ethiopia will be played between the 1-9 September 2025 and another two matches- Burkina Faso and Djibouti will be played between October 6-14 2025.

The FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers feature six teams divided into nine groups. Only the group leader in each group will qualify for the Finals in 2026 in the US, Canada and Mexico.
